Your First Session – Meeting You Where You Are
Before our initial appointment, you’ll complete a comprehensive questionnaire, allowing me to gain valuable insights into your history, needs, concerns, and values. I understand that everyone’s story is unique, and I’m here to honour yours.
During our first 60-minute session, we’ll have an open discussion about your health and well-being, focusing on the areas that are most important to you in your healing journey. Together, we’ll set immediate and long-term goals and create a personalised self-care plan tailored to your needs.
By the end of our first consultation, you’ll have a clearer understanding of what your body has experienced, along with practical tips and tools you can start using straight away.
Follow-Up Sessions – Guiding You Towards Your Goals
In our 45-minute follow-up sessions, I will continue to provide ongoing tools, insights, and support to help you steadily move towards your health and wellness goals. These sessions may include:
- Techniques to improve the appearance and feel of your scars, helping you feel more at ease in your skin.
- Targeted exercises to relieve pain, improve shoulder mobility, ease chest tightness, and address issues like “cording” from surgery or radiation therapy.
- Desensitisation and sensory re-education methods to alleviate symptoms of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy.
- Evidence-based education to enhance your understanding of treatments and side effects, empowering you to make informed self-care decisions that optimise your recovery and reduce the risk of recurrence.
- Personalised advice on your risk of developing lymphedema and strategies to minimise those risks.
- Practical tools to help you manage cancer-related side effects such as fatigue, brain fog, and hot flushes.
- Nutritional guidance to support detoxification after cancer treatments and bolster your recovery.
